The height of the palm reaches 10 to 20 meters or more.
Dates are one of the most characteristic fruits of tropical regions, which have different types.
The spread of dates species is mainly in the northern hemisphere and in the countries of Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries along the Persian Gulf, as well as most of the countries of North Africa and the United States of America, and it is also seen sporadically in the southern hemisphere.
Dates palm cultivation dates back to more than 7 thousand years ago and is one of the oldest plants cultivated by humans. All types of dates are not necessarily suitable for human consumption and industrial production, and in fact, only about 200 to 400 types of this fruit are used for sale in the consumer market.
Rotb is the stage before fully ripening dates, which has more moisture and less sugar than fully ripe dates.
Dates are rich in fibre, various vitamins and minerals and have many beneficial properties for the health of the body, including heart
problems, constipation, intestinal disorders, heart problems, anaemia, sexual disorders, diarrhoea, digestive tract cancer and many other physical problems
According to health experts, it is necessary to consume at least one date per day to maintain health.In general, all dates fall into three general categories: fresh dates, semi-dry dates, and dry dates.
Dry and semi-dry dates can usually be stored at room temperature, while fresh dates must be kept in the refrigerator.
Iran is also one of the largest producers of dates in the world due to the existence of vast tropical and desert areas in the southern region.
